Martha's Vineyard Museum
This is the logbook from the Ship Virginia's whaling voyage from August 18, 1847 to August 6, 1851. It was kept by the Captain, Henry Manter of Martha's Vineyard. The label on the front cover says "Journal of a Whaling Voyage Ship Voyage 1800 Bbls oil".
