and quicker than I expected Mips Allen stayed with me three weeks and Abigail two after she had gone and she stayd a great many hours with me last winter evenings she takes great inter est in the babe and thinks he is extra Ab has been with me more hours than the other sisters has minuets the babe has no name yet I think it would pleas her verry much if I should call it Charles, what do you think about it I would like to call him for you, but Ieda says dont for the child will not be satisfied when it is older and others say dont it will be old P and young P if your Father and mine lik,d each other a little better I would like to call him Thomas W. Oh Dear Peter I have so many things every day that passes that I want to talk with you about that what I can write affords but little satisfaction I want you should see the children and Cynthia or I say every day if their Father could see them or there boy would feel pleasd or proud. Pressa has been verry well through the win ter but since the hot weather has come he has been troub led with worms lost his flesh, he has slept with Cynthia every night since my babe was born talks verry plain oh the care and watching they all need you can never realize it until you are at home all the time, from the time they are born up and now by the time they are a sleep I feel tired enough to lay down and rest instead of trying
