Coral Reef

A ridge composed mainly of the skeletons of coral (tiny living marine animals) and other organic matter that have solidified into limestone. Often called "rain forests of the sea," coral reefs are erosion resistant and form some of the most diverse ecosystems on Earth, providing a home for many marine species.
