About this artifact

In June 26,1869 the Bark President had a collision and was forced to anchor in the bay of Gibraltar. It was customary for a damaged boat to undergo an inspection and have a certified damage report written in order to list the loses. In this report, it states that the bark should lighten its load and make all repairs. The recommended repairs were completed and signed off on the 7th of July, 1869.
